TEDDIES
Teddies are girls aged 4 1/2 to 7.
They are just beginning their Guiding journey, and learn skills through lots of playing and laughing.
TEDDY PROMISE
TEDDY UNIFORM
WHITE SHIRT
A simple, short sleeved school shirt will become the girls' Teddy shirt. All earned badges are / will be worn on the shirt
SCARF
Teddies will get their yellow scarf when they are enrolled, to be worn with their full uniform . The scarf has 3 badges on it - the SA Flag badge, their Region badge and their unit badge.
SHOES
Teddies can wear black school shoes OR white takkies, with neat white socks.
NAVY SKORTS
Navy skorts are worn with the white shirt and scarf.
WHAT DO TEDDIES DO?
As with all of our programs, the girls are taught vital life skills in a fun and engaging way. Once they have proved competent in these skills, they are rewarded with badges!
There are 8 main adventure badges, made up of a number of different clauses that the girls must complete. The badges are each centered around a specific topic and skill.
Sharing Adventure
Teddies learn how to care for others through community service and share kindness everywhere!
Guiding Adventure
Teddies learn all about the Guiding movement and their place in the organisation.
Follow my Leader
Teddies learn all about leadership and what it means as well as how to become young leaders.
Fun STUFF Outdoors
Teddies learn the best ways to enjoy nature and have fun being outside and respect the outdoors.
Be Safe Adventure
Teddies learn ways to keep safe at home, school, and when out with friends and family.
Little Me Adventure
Teddies learn about their own self-esteem as well as looking after their health and hygiene.
Busy Bee Adventure
Teddies learn about all the other amazing things that surround them - arts, crafts, tech and science.
Earth Adventure
Teddies learn how to take care of our planet Earth and be kind to the earth in everything they do.
