RANGERS

Rangers are our teen girls - aged between 14 and 18.

They are given more freedom to find their interests and passions while still continuing their skills learning.

RANGER UNIFORM

Scarf

Rangers wear a scarf when they are enrolled, to be worn with their full uniform. The scarf has 3 badges on it - the SA Flag badge, their Region badge and their unit badge.

White Shirt

A simple, short sleeved school shirt will become the girls' Ranger shirt. On the shirt is where all earned badges will go.

Navy Skirt or pants

Navy pants or a navy skirt can be worn with the white shirt and scarf.

Shoes

The uniform is complete with smart black shoes.

WHAT DO RANGERS DO?

As with all of our programmes, the girls are taught vital life skills in a fun and engaging way.

Once they have proved competent in these skills, they are rewarded with badges!

There are 8 main adventure badges, made up of a number of different clauses that the girls must complete.

The badges are each centered around a specific topic and skill.

Leadership
Adventure

Rangers are guided into their own natural leadership abilities. The girls are taught how to be good leaders and how to respect authority.

Community Service and Advocacy Adventure

Rangers are taught & encouraged to take part in community service projects, as well taking action on important issues surrounding them.

Guiding Knowledge Adventure

Rangers go even further into their place in the movement. As well as how we came to be and the origin of our traditions and customs and what Guiding futures look like.

Outdoors and Water Adventure

Rangers are given essential outdoor skills, as well as water-related skills. They will go on more camps, hikes and take part in more boating.
